Order steps, events, or routines. Explain how light direction and objects affect where a shadow appears.
Materials & preparation
- One printed learner copy; keep the answer view separate when provided
- Pre-cut pieces, or child-safe scissors with adult supervision
- A clear surface for arranging the pieces
- Model and teach
- Think aloud through one example, including how you notice and correct a mistake. Then use this learner direction: Cut out the cards, then place the events in order. Use the page examples to identify the light source, object, and shadow without looking at a bright light.
