- Think aloud through one example, including how you notice and correct a mistake. Then use this learner direction: Answer each question in a complete word or sentence. Say what repeats or changes and point to the data that supports the answer.
- Support
- Complete the first item together, highlight the key word or visual clue, then fade the prompt.
- Stretch
- Ask for an explanation using the topic words, then add one new example. Create a new example that follows the same idea, then explain how it works.
- Check for understanding
- Ask for two answers without the word bank or answer view, then correct misconceptions briefly.
